When was the house established?
Red Bull House of Art was founded in Detroit’s historic Eastern Market in 2011. In five years and 11 gallery openings, 80+ local artists have held residencies at Red Bull House of Art.
Detroit has a very rich, unique and wonderfuly diverse history in arts and culture. We acknowledge that the global contributions of Detroits creative output have impacted every facet of modern life, from the music you listen to, to the car you drive. This makes it the perfect place to explore new and exciting ideas for young creatives, so naturally, we want to be a part of that. Our goal is to highlight the immense positivite energy Detroit has thrust upon the world by being active participants in, and caretakers of, its legacy.
